Frost Advisory issued for most of Western New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. — With much colder air sinking into the region, a Frost Advisory has been issued for most of Western New York Tuesday night. A Frost Advisory begins at 2 a.m. Wednesday and lasts until 8 a.m. Wednesday for southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties. An additional advisory is also in effect for McKean and Potter counties in northern Pennsylvania.

President Biden calls Buffalo mass shooting 'domestic terrorism'

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo is in mourning following Saturday's mass shooting at the Tops Friendly Markets grocery store on Jefferson Avenue. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden arrived in Buffalo Tuesday morning to speak with the victims' families. Both the president and the first lady visited the makeshift memorial that has been constructed on Jefferson Avenue. They were seen laying flowers at the memorial along with other state and federal officials including Gov. Kathy Hochul, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, and Congressman Brian Higgins.

29-year-old man arrested, charged following Wyoming County shooting

ARCADE, N.Y. — A 29-year-old Wyoming County man is facing charges following a shooting Monday night in the Town of Java. The Communications Division of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. reporting a violent domestic incident at a house on Holland Road. According to the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office, a second call came in about five minutes later saying a woman had been shot.

'He was sitting outside'; Barbershop owner describes interaction with mass shooting suspect

BUFFALO, N.Y. — At a place sacred to the Black community, it’s hard to imagine that steps away Saturday’s shooting could happen. "It's something that you never thought was going to happen here," said Daniel Love, owner of Mr. Love Barbershop. "We were cutting hair, I was showing one of my apprentices tips on how to do a haircut and I just heard a loud 'pow pow pow.'"
