Worthington Fireworks On The Fourth

Worthington will once again celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks on the Fourth of July, however, the Rotary Family Picnic is delayed until Labor Day weekend. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m on Sunday, July 4 at Thomas Worthington High School (TWHS). There is plenty of viewing space for people to spread out on the high school grounds. The stadium will be open, and people are also invited to enjoy the display from the front lawn and other areas surrounding the high school. The Flats and Olentangy Bike Trail are closed during the fireworks.

City Of Delaware Temporarily Pauses Pool Membership Sales

On Thursday, the City of Delaware made an announcement on its Facebook Page and website concerning the sale of pool memberships. It read:. “The City of Delaware Parks and Recreation Department is temporarily pausing pool membership sales. This is due to high attendance on weekends and a lack of enough lifeguards that can lead to unsafe conditions. Since May, only City of Delaware residents have been able to purchase memberships. Also, effective 6-19-21, daily fee admissions will be limited to 50 City resident guests (ID required) on weekend days.

Westerville Fire Department Receives Rating Increase

The Westerville Division of Fire (WFD) has received a class 1 Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO) rating following an evaluation and assessment of the department. ISO rates fire departments/districts on a 10-point scale, with class 1 being the best rating and class 10 being the worst.
