Can The New York Rangers Win Their Series Over The Hurricanes?

I know I wrote about the New York Rangers yesterday but I just had to again today. Their improbable comeback over the Penguins is still resonating all over the Capital Region with the always passionate Ranger fans. They will have a tall task in beating a very talented Carolina Hurricane team who won their division in the Metropolitan Conference. I do like the Rangers chances to advance to the Eastern Conference finals, but it won't be easy. Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

$25K REWARD: US Marshals Put Cohoes Man On 15 Most Wanted List

The heat is raised on a national manhunt for the Cohoes man wanted for murder in an infant’s overdose death. On December 3, 2019, six-week-old Eli Harmon-Ojeda was killed after ingesting “toxic levels of methamphetamines” at the apartment of Anthony Ojeda and Neil Garzon. Harmon-Ojeda’s body had also sustained physical trauma to the ribs and head.

Capital Region High School Will Build a Sports Dome-1st For Area Schools

Move over Syracuse, there is a sports dome coming to the Capital Region and it's not going to be used for a college team. It's being built for a local high school. On Friday, May 13th, it was announced that a local high school would be getting a sports dome. It was done at an event called BronationDay at Christian Brothers Academy. This is their end-of-year barbeque. Christian Brothers Academy raised enough money to build a new sports dome. It will be the first high school in the Capital Region to have an all-season dome.

Saratoga County Sheriffs Take Down Alleged 19 Year Old Meth Dealer

They say it was a long investigation, but the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office says a person responsible for methamphetamine sales throughout Saratoga County has been caught. Cops arrested 19 year old Raven Stables of Saratoga Springs at a traffic stop on Thursday. Although no timeline was provided the Sheriff's office says it had been looking into the sales of narcotics in different areas of Saratoga County for a long while. Stables was pulled over on Rowland Street in the Town of Milton due to a number of active warrants from the towns of Milton, Moreau and Malta. Police say she missed a number of previously scheduled court dates.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full-swing, and New York Rangers' fans got to experience one of the most dramatic moments anywhere in sports: a Game 7, at home. Madison Square Garden was the backdrop, as the Rangers battled the Pittsburgh Penguins for a spot in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Rangers' fans have been loud and proud this entire season, and that was definitely the case in the stands at MSG yesterday.

Most of New York state's counties are now falling under the CDC's "high" COVID community level designation. Chances are over the last few weeks it probably seems like everyone you know has been coming down with COVID. I know in our circle of friends in Clifton Park, I think everyone has had at least one member of their family if not several come down with the virus recently.
