Driver in serious condition after crashing into house in Chandler
CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A man is in the hospital after crashing his car into a house in Chandler on Monday night.
Around 8:45 p.m., Chandler police were called to a neighborhood near Riggs and Gilbert roads, where they found a car that had crashed into the side of a home. The driver was still trapped in the Honda. Once fire crews got him out of the car, he was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No one in the house was hurt, but police say there’s a significant amount of damage to the home’s exterior wall, fence and roof.
Police say speed and impairment are being looked into as factors of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
