CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of road patching projects on Beaver Avenue in Centre County.

The projects are set to begin on Monday, June 24. This initiative aims to improve road quality and enhance safety for motorists.

PennDOT’s Centre County Maintenance organization will execute a detailed schedule of lane-specific patching work. The scheduled work will proceed over several days, beginning with left lane patching between Atherton and Allen streets on Monday, June 24, while the right lane remains open.

On Tuesday, June 25, crews will switch to the right lane in the same section, keeping the left lane open.

The work will continue on Wednesday, June 26, in the left lane between Allen and Garner streets, and on Thursday, June 27, in the right lane between Allen and High streets, with one lane remaining open at all times.

On Friday, June 28, patching will occur in the left lane between Garner and High streets.

Finally, on Monday, July 1, both lanes between Buckhout and Atherton streets will be patched using single-lane closures.

Motorists should expect slow-moving and stopped vehicles throughout the work zone. This patching work is essential for preventing further road surface deterioration, and it is optimal to conduct in warmer temperatures during spring and summer.
