In Loving Memory of Jean Schieck: 1929-2023

Posted

Jean Schieck peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2023, at 94 years of age. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jean was married to Don for over 60 years when he passed away in December of 2009. They were faithful Christians who supported their church and many mission groups. They provided various community services while they were able. Jean was a hard-working secretary, working for various companies over the years, and her church.

Jean was known for her smile and kindness. She was a great listener, very generous and tender-hearted. She prayed for and sent handwritten letters to countless loved ones, friends and missionaries. Jean’s long life was well-lived. She was greatly loved by all who knew her, and was a fine example of how to live a good life. Jean touched so many lives and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. She is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her sister, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to Helping Hands Alaska, online at www.helpinghandsalaska.com/partner in honor of both Don and Jean's passion and love for missions.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Centralia Community Church of God, 3320 Borst Ave., Centralia, Washington, 98531. The family is looking forward to any memories of Jean you have to share.
