A 26-year-old Shattuc man was given a notice to appear in court for misdemeanor criminal trespass to property after Centralia City Firemen had to remove him from the roof of the Buchheit’s store on West McCord Street late Thursday night.
Billy Muench had originally called the fire department to ask if they helped get people down from a building. After asking if he wanted to know hypothetically or had a problem, Muench reportedly explained that he had climbed up a pipe gutter to get to the roof as a bucket list item to play games on the roof. But then, he couldn’t find a safe way back down.
The fire department used their new platform truck to get to the roof where Muench was removed by a fireman and policeman and taken to the police station for questioning.
