Deputies arrest man after argument leaves him with gunshot wound to foot
PIERRE PART - A man was arrested for simple battery after a search for items he believed to have been stolen led to him being shot in the foot. Jason Landry, 51, of Pierre Part reportedly went to a home in search of goods he believed to have been stolen from him. As he talked with the home's residents, an argument escalated.

NEW IBERIA, La. (KADN) -- Authorities in New Iberia said a drug probe led to a bomb scare and the arrest of a man on multiple drug and weapon charges. New Iberia police said Beau Broussard, 38, is charged with manufacture and possession of a bomb, possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (2 counts), possessing or dealing with unregistered illegal firearms (2 counts), possession of a firearm in firearm free zone, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drug, possession of Schedule II drug, possession of legend drug, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pierre Part man arrested after allegedly assaulting, resisting multiple deputies
PIERRE PART — Assumption Parish deputies arrested a Pierre Part man after he allegedly assaulted multiple law enforcement officers. According to the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to Paul Street on Sunday night. When they arrived, deputies reportedly found Dylan Rivere, 37, who was acting hostile and uncooperative. Deputies then tried to arrest Rivere, who reportedly attacked them and tried to take one of the deputies' tasers.
