The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of a man in Center Point Wednesday evening. Around 9:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Tupelo Way in Center Point on the report of a person shot.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13 Deputies arrived on scene to find Quindell Javon Rhodes, from Birmingham, with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to UAB Hospital, where he later died.Detectives are still working to establish a motive and develop leads in this case.
