Shawano Boys Fall To Clintonville; Girls Lead From Start
The Shawano Boys and Girls both played in different style games in Clintonville on Saturday. The boys suffered their first loss while the girls improved to 3-1. The Truckers got off to a fast start with an 18-2 lead to start the game. The Hawks did not have an answer for Sam Wegener and Kade Rosenow who scored 12 and 10 points respectfully in the first half. Shawano was able to settle in and went on an 11-0 run to end the half trailing 28-26. Clintonville was able to hit some key shots in the end and came away with a season opening win. A 22-year-old Gillett man died Saturday morning when he was ejected during a crash on State 22 in the Town of Gillett, according to the Oconto County Sheriff's Office.
