One person killed in North Versailles crash

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — An 18-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash between a sedan and a box truck in North Versailles on Wednesday.

The Allegheny County Police Department said the crash happened along Lincoln Highway near the intersection with Isaac Street around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

When first responders arrived, they found an 18-year-old man dead inside the sedan. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has been identified him as Xander Wehrhan.

The driver of the box truck remained at the scene, according to police. It was not immediately clear if they suffered any injuries.

County Police said preliminary information shows the driver of the sedan was headed eastbound on Lincoln Highway when he crossed the center line and was hit by the driver of the box truck, which was headed westbound.
