Magic City Classic tailgating spaces go on sale Thursday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Online sales for Magic City Classic tailgating spaces will begin at noon Thursday.

Prices for tailgating spaces have more than doubled this year, as each space will cost $456.82 for a four day pass. That price includes taxes and fees. The former price for a tailgate space for the Magic City Classic was $140 before taxes.

Additionally, Saturday only parking/tailgating spaces will increase from $20 to $50.

For those unable to purchase a space online, in-person purchases will begin on October 21.

The link for tickets on the Birmingham Parks and Recreation website will go live on www.birminghamal.gov/parks-and-recreation at 12:01 p.m. If people click on the tailgating flyer prior to 12:01 p.m. you will receive a “You have been blocked” message.
