    Irondale mayor hosting music festival in honor of city’s 137th birthday

    IRONDALE, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Irondale mayor will host a music festival Sept. 28 to honor the city’s 137th birthday.

    According to a news release, Irondale Mayor James Stewart is hosting the third annual “City of Irondale Music Festival” on Sept. 28. The festival will be hosted at Beacon Park. Gates will open at 2 p.m., and the show will start at 3 p.m. Admission is free.

    The music festival lineup includes Ruben Studdard, Kirk Whalum, Ken Ford, Emily Band and Element XI. It is part of a three-concert series, which included Jazz Fest on Aug. 17 and a Country Fest that will be held Nov. 2.
