The current forecast increases the intensity to a category 1 hurricane before making landfall Wednesday afternoon or evening along the East Coast of Texas or Louisiana.

For Central Alabama, rain chances increase Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing us some much needed rainfall in the form of 2-3 inches. We’ll also need to monitor the possibility for a few spin-up tornadoes. The exact track and specific forecast details could change as it develops, so check back for updates over the coming days.

Rain chances decrease Friday into the weekend.
