Pedestrian struck, killed in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A Pritchard man died after being struck by a car early Monday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

Eddie J. Winters, 59, was hit by a Toyota Avalon while walking on U.S. 11 at around 4:20 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

The crash happened near the 47-mile marker, roughly two miles north of Eutaw. No further information is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
