A Cass County man is awaiting sentencing after jurors found him guilty on 10 of 12 criminal charges for shooting at cars last July.
The jurors handed down the verdicts against 47-year-old Randy Kirk Friday morning.
Kirk opened fire at the corner of Calvin Center Road and Brownsville Street before being arrested outside a Dollar General last July.
Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz says the quick response by police likely stopped a potential mass shooting.
Kirk faces life in prison.
He will be sentenced in September.

Jury deliberations began Friday morning in the trial of a Cass County man accused of shooting a several cars at a busy intersection.
Closing arguments wrapped up on Thursday.
Exclusive body camera video obtained by WSBT 22 shows 47-year-old Randy Kirk’s arrest after he pulled a gun on officers.
Kirk faces 14 different counts, including intent to murder.
Police say it happened after he opened fire on vehicles at the intersection of Calvin Center Road and Brownsville Street in Cass County last July.
Kirk faces a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
