Officials say a second person has died as the result of a crash in Casco last week.

Have Officials Released the Names of the Deceased?

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reports Dylan Chretien, 19, of Bridgton died at the scene. In an update on Monday, June 12th,officials reported that Nicholas Centfanti, 20, of Casco had died of injuries that originally sent him to the hospital in critical condition.

What Happened?

The crash happened just before 7:00 Wednesday morning in the area of 341 Tenney Hill Road. Officials say one of the vehicles involved in the crash went off the roadway and hit some trees. Both of the men who died were in that same vehicle.

Do Officials Know What Caused the Crash?

Investigators say excessive speed contributed to the crash, as well as failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle. A second vehicle was also involved in this crash. Officials have not released any details about any damage to that vehicle or injuries of the person(s) inside it.

The cause remains under investigation.
