Amarillo man sentenced to 25 years for human trafficking
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - An Amarillo man was sentenced to 25 years in the penitentiary for the first degree felony of trafficking of person. According to the Office of the 100th Judicial District Attorney, 29-year-old Juan Manuel Batres of Amarillo was arrested in Carson County in October of 2022 after a joint investigation from the Panhandle Police Department, Carson County Sheriff’s Office, Amarillo Police Department and Texas DPS CID agents.
