CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Colby White, a Cheyenne resident, was sentenced to one year of probation following a no-contest plea to charges linked to a fraudulent check scheme involving substantial sums. The sentence was handed down by Judge Steven K. Sharpe on May 6, concluding a case that began with a forgery investigation in late 2022.
Cheyenne man faces felony drug charges after traffic stop
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A traffic stop on West Lincolnway turned into a drug bust on Friday, May 3, leading to felony charges for a Cheyenne resident. The Cheyenne Police Department arrested David Knowles, 56, after officers discovered a substantial amount of drugs in the Jeep he was occupying. The incident occurred near the 800 block of West Lincolnway at around 8:50 a.m.

Colorado man dies in single-vehicle rollover on I-25 in Cheyenne
CASPER, Wyo — A Colorado man died Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 25 in Cheyenne, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The man was identified in the preliminary report as 65-year-old Wright Thomas. Wright was the passenger of a Ford Ranger pickup that had just taken Exit 8 on Interstate 25 to merge onto Interstate 80 around 2:09 p.m. on May 1. Troopers wrote in the preliminary report that the pickup drifted off the roadway and overcorrected twice, causing it to rotate and trip into a roll.
