The arrival of June also heralds the arrival of Pride Month, designed to help promote and support the dignity and equality of LGBTQ+ people.

There are a number of Pride-related celebrations and activities planned throughout the central Pennsylvania region this month and beyond, from picnics and plays to pancake meals and pet parades.

Below we’ve compiled a chronological list of all the Pride-related activities scheduled in Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties. Is there an event we missed? Let us know by emailing us at newstips@pennlive.com.

A special Drag Brunch will be held June 3 at The Handsome Cab, 106 N. George St., York. Brunch starts at 11:30 a.m. and the show starts at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

Pins for Pride will take place from 4-8 p.m. June 4 at Trindle Bowl, 4695 E Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg. Proceeds to toward the Pride Festival of central Pa.

Carlisle Pride will run June 9-11 at various locations in Carlisle. Events include a bonfire from 6-8 p.m. June 9, a picnic from noon to 4 p.m. June 10, and an opening reception of the exhibition “Prisms and Pride” from 1-3 p.m. June 11 at the Penny Gallery, 32 W. Pomfret St.

The play “Friend of Dorothy” will take the stage at 7 p.m. June 9 and 10 at the Hershey Area Playhouse, 830 Cherry Dr., Hershey. The play is a series of 16 monologues by director Austin Shay taken from a series of anonymous interviews. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online.

York County Pride will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 10 at the York State Fair, in the All Trains Memorial Hall, 334 Carlisle Ave. The free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of performers and vendors, and is sponsored by Rainbow Rose Center, a volunteer-run organization.

Heart and Soul Books at 5970 Linglestown Road, Linglestown, will hold a pride-related event from noon to 3 p.m. June 10. There will be rock painting, tarot card readings, flash tattoos and charcuterie cups available. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Pa.

The York Jewish Community Center will host a Pancakes for Pride event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 11 at 2000 Hollywood Drive, York. The meal includes 3 pancakes, a fruit cup and a juice box. Cost is $12 or $15 for gluten-free pancakes. There will also be a coloring station, face painter, DJ, bounce house and more. Brunch boxes must be preordered by June 5.

The Lancaster Pet Pride Parade will be held from 10:15 a.m. to noon on June 11 at Buchanan Park, 901 Buchanan Ave., Lancaster. There will be prizes for the pets and some pet-centric activities.

A Lancaster Pride and Keystone Business Alliance Networking Mixer will be held from 6-8 p.m. June 14 at the Pressroom Restaurant, 26 W. King St., Lancaster. The event is free for all Keystone Business Alliance members and vendors/sponsors of this year’s pride festival. The cost is $10 for other individuals.

A Pride Night Dinner will be held from 4-9 p.m. June 15 at Sammy’s Authentic Italian Restaurant, 502 N. Third St., Harrisburg. A percentage of the proceeds will go towards supporting the 2023 Pride Festival of central Pa.

The Lancaster Pride Festival will be held at noon to 7 p.m. June 17 at the Lancaster County Convention Center, 25 S. Queen St., Lancaster. An afterparty will be held at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission or $15 for admission to both the festival and the afterparty.

The Lititz Pride Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 17 at Lititz Springs Park, 24 N. Broad St., Lititz. The event will feature a number of speakers and performers, kids’ activities and more.

Hershey Pride 2023 will take place from 3-6 p.m. June 24 at Chocolatetown Park, 48 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey. The event will feature vendors, activities, and a free live concert by GLAAD Award nominee Trey Pearson.

Lebanon’s Got Pride 2023 will take place from noon to 6 p.m. June 25, along South Eighth Street, between Cumberland and Chestnut streets. The event will include a fashion show, Zumba and a DJ dance party.

The Harrisburg Senators will host a Pride Night event during their game against the Altoona Curve at 6:30 p.m. June 28 at FNB Field on City Island in Harrisburg. The first 1,000 fans 13 & older will get a rainbow Senators performance headband.

The Pride Festival of Central Pa. will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 29 at Soldier’s Grove, along Commonwealth Avenue in Harrisburg. Food Trucks will be located along Commonwealth Avenue. The stage for performances will be off of Seventh Street.

The 2023 New Cumberland Li’l Pride Picnic will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22 at New Cumberland Borough Park, 517 Front St., New Cumberland.
