A few showers early tonight, will we dry out for the weekend?
Showers and thunderstorms continue in the Miami Valley as we head into the evening. We will be drying out early in the night with cloudy skies and lows around 60 degrees. Tomorrow we will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of a few showers in the afternoon. Otherwise most of us will stay dry with highs around the 80 degree mark. Dry on Sunday with highs in the mid 80s. The mid 80s will carry into the work week with sunshine early in the week. Showers and storms are likely going into the middle of the week, with a cooldown to follow. Highs in the 70s for the second half of the week with chances of showers and thunderstorms heading into the weekend.
Troopers say speed, alcohol involved in fiery, fatal Liberty crash; driver charged
The Ohio State Highway Patrol has charged a driver for a fatal accident in which Troopers say unsafe speed and alcohol may have played a part. Troopers say 41-year-old Nicholas Thompson of Youngstown died after the car he was in ran off a curve along Colonial Drive just after midnight Friday, struck a utility pole, and caught fire near Biscayne Avenue in Liberty Township.
