Nashua man arrested for criminal threatening with a deadly weapon
NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department arrested 67-year-old Michael Gannon, of Nashua, for one count of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, a Class B felony. On May 26, officers responded to McKean Street for a reported assault. After speaking with the victim, witnesses, and the alleged suspect, officers learned that during an argument, Gannon threatened the victim with a knife.

Hyde Park detectives and Boston police officers turned heroes for a local child after they went the extra mile to not only recover but also to fully repair a stolen bicycle, the Boston Police Department reported. The two-wheeler, snatched on May 18, 2024, was found by the officers assigned to District E-18 in Hyde Park with some damage. However, the cops didn't simply close the case there. They took the initiative to get the bike fixed up before handing it back to its young owner. Boston Police Department shared that story as a testament to the force's community spirit.
Boston Police Department remembers Officer Donald Brown 50 years after his death
The Boston Police Department is remembering the public service of Officer Donald Brown, who was killed during a robbery in Roslindale 50 years ago to the day on Friday. Brown, 64, was shot and killed at the American Legion Shopping Center on May 24, 1974, Boston police said in a press release. He was escorting a local store manager to a bank when the pair was confronted by four suspects. The officer was shot while attempting to fire his service weapon.
