Driver arrested, meth and various drugs seized

CARBONDALE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police arrested a driver during a traffic stop after allegedly he was found with meth and various drugs.

The Carbondale Police Department says they arrested Kevin Nealon on April 19 during a traffic stop for a traffic infraction.

After speaking with Nealon officers said they suspected he was involved in “criminal activity.” Police were permitted to search the car and K-9 Axel was called to the scene who indicated the presence of narcotics.

Traffic stop results in drugs, guns seized, juveniles charged

Officers said they seized the following items that were found inside the car or in a briefcase in the backseat;

  • 36 grams meth
  • Eight ecstasy pills
  • 4.5 grams of marijuana
  • Four suboxone films
  • Generic Viagra pills
  • Digital scale
  • $900

Nealon was charged with possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy pills, suboxone strips, and other related offenses.
