CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The No. 2 Buffaloes and No. 3 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M sweep the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week honors. For men’s track, William Amponsah was awarded the weekly honor for the second week in a row. Amponsah won gold in the 5,000 meter race with a second best program-record of 14 minutes flat at the Buffalo Invitational this past Sunday. He ranks No. 6 in the event in all of NCAA Division II.
