CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Former Canfield and University of Indiana quarterback Broc Lowry is transferring to Western Michigan University.

Lowry entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month and made the announcement on social media Monday.

During his freshman season at Indiana, Lowry appeared in four games, completing one pass attempt for eight yards.

The 2022 WKBN Big 22 Ohio Player of the Year holds Canfield’s all-time record for completions, passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Lowry also became the first player in Ohio history to lead his team in rushing yards, passing yards and receiving yards in a State Title game.

Following his senior season with the Cardinals, Lowry was named a first-team all-state selection in Division III, helping lead Canfield to its first state championship in school history.
