Man crashes after leading deputies on 100 mph chase on Highway 65, Placer County Sheriff’s Office says
A Cameron Park man was arrested in Placer County last week after leading authorities on a high-speed chase on Highway 65, the sheriff’s office said.
Gary Bachelor, 34, allegedly took off driving more than 100 mph after a deputy had tried to make a stop of his vehicle just after 6:30 p.m. on May 19.

While being chased by deputies, the man nearly hit several cars before crashing into a tree on Highland Point Drive, the sheriff’s office said.
Bachelor then took off on foot before being captured, the sheriff’s office said. In addition to facing charges for evading a peace officer, he was also booked for allegedly possessing 20 blue pills containing Fentanyl and a baggie suspected to contain cocaine.
He was booked into the South Placer Jail.
