A tractor-trailer crash closed a portion of Route 219 southbound in Cambria County for several hours on Tuesday.

Officials say a truck hauling scrap metal lost its load when its trailer overturned in the area of the Route 56 bypass and Route 219.
Multiple area crews were dispatched to the scene around 9:30 a.m. and did not clear the area until approximately 2:30 p.m., according to 911 officials.
Authorities say the crash shut down the highway, from the Route 56 bypass to the Geistown/Elton exit, as PennDOT crews worked to clean up the debris.
