The Harrodsburg City Commission held their regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 26, with representatives from We Are Mercer, a local group protesting the development of large-scale data centers in Mercer County, in attendance. At its Tuesday, Oct. 13 meeting, the city commission gave a second reading to a data-center zoning ordinance drafted by the Harrodsburg-Mercer County Joint Planning and Zoning Commission after a series of public meetings. The ordinance would create an Industrial Technology Zone (I-T) that would allow construction of a single hyperscale data center.

Lexington eliminates nearly $8M in medical debt for more than 4,100 residents
