CALUMET CITY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Calumet City police are asking for the public’s help in locating three men who ran into a mall Tuesday afternoon after being chased from Chicago.
A Calumet City spokesman said Chicago police chased a dark minivan down the Dan Ryan Expressway and onto the Bishop Ford Tuesday afternoon before the minivan exited at 159th Street and high-tailed it to Torrence Avenue and the River Oaks Mall.
A witness told CBS 2 he saw the suspects escape into the mall.
"They stopped the van right there and the three boys, they run in the mall. They left the car right there."
Calumet City and Illinois State Police searched the mall, but did not find the suspects. Police had the minivan towed away.
