Defendant in child sex crimes has probation revoked in Calhoun County

"Jason January’s probation(s) were revoked/adjudicated today. He plead “true” to the allegations that he violated his probation. In a motion to revoke or a motion to adjudicate, the State only has to prove the allegations that a defendant violated the terms of his conditions of probation by a preponderance of the evidence, which is a much lower burden of proof than the “beyond a reasonable doubt” proof required at a trial on guilt or innocence.

The Judge sentenced him to the maximum amount of time for each offense. He will serve an aggregate of 62 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and/or a State Jail Facility."
