Lyndonville police are seeking a suspect in a retail theft incident where multiple bottles of Remy Martin liquor were stolen from Lyndonville Redemption. The suspect entered the store and took the bottles without paying. The police are asking for the public's help in identifying the individual. In another incident, a shooting occurred in Hardwick resulting in the death of the victim. The shooter, who was renting a room from the victim, later killed himself. The police found the shooter's crashed vehicle and apprehended him armed with a weapon.

Police ID victims in Caledonia County shootings
HARDWICK, Vt. (WCAX) - Authorities are identifying the two people involved in a shooting investigation in Caledonia County Wednesday night. The Vermont State Police say troopers responded at about 5 p.m. to a dispute between Donald Brochu Jr., 55, and Robert Marquis, 52, at a home on Elm Street in Hardwick. They say Brochu was renting a room from Marquis and that Brochu shot him. Marquis remains in critical condition at the UVM Medical Center.

This Thursday NEK Broadband will hold its annual meeting to outline what is has accomplished in 2023 and plans for 2024. NEK Broadband is a communications union district representing 51 member communities across Caledonia, Essex and Orleans counties along with Wolcott in Lamoille County. Vermont enabled the creation of the CUDs through legislation and requires them to hold annual meetings as an opportunity for the budget to be presented and for the public to ask questions about the CUD, its budget and the overall project.
