High school students help with Padilla Bay oyster restoration
The only native oyster species in the Northwest is staging a comeback in Padilla Bay with the help of some area high school students. About 30 marine biology students from Mount Vernon High School joined staff from the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve on May 8 and May 10 to help with restoration work.
