Man in custody after Downtown Burlington stabbing

The suspect, Conrad Duncan, was arrested for aggravated assault.

Burlington Police Department received a report about a possible stabbing just after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023. The caller told dispatch a male had stabbed another male near the intersection of King Street and St. Paul Street.Responding officers located the victim, who had suffered a cut to the head. After giving officers a detailed description of the suspect, the victim was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center by the Burlington Fire Department. The suspect was identified as Conrad Duncan.On March 26, 2023, the Burlington Police Department put out a Be On the Lookout for Duncan.On March 27, 2023, the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle just after 1:00 a.m. near the 500 block of Shelburne Road and advised officers that they believed the passenger to be Conrad Duncan. The Burlington Police Department responded and took Duncan into custody for aggravated assault. Officers recovered a knife and tagged it into evidence. Duncan’s bail is set at $5,000.
