Slim Chickens, the restaurant chain famous for its chicken wings, chicken fingers, and more than 17 dipping sauces, is planning more locations in Alabama and Georgia. Slim Chickens recently partnered with the multi-unit hospitality group Slims Southern Boys to open at least four franchises, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. Two Montgomery men die days after being shot
Montgomery police are conducting two homicide investigations in which the victims died days later in the hospital after being shot. On May 12 at about 2:54 a.m., police and fire medics went to the 500 block of East Patton Avenue on a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. Demetrus Porter, 39, of Montgomery, suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound, she said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died Monday.
No injuries caused by shooting inside Eastdale Mall, police confirm
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department has confirmed that there were no injuries caused by the shooting inside of Eastdale Mall Saturday afternoon. Police responded to a call around 3:45 p.m. in reference to a shooting in the 1000 block of Eastdale Mall. On the scene, police found businesses had been damaged due to gunfire, but luckily there were no reported injuries.
