If you saw police activity on SW 148th Street Thursday morning, Jun 8, 2023, here is what Burien Police were up to:

Police say that on Thursday morning at 7:26 a.m., Officers were dispatched to an irate male who had fired a gun at a neighbor in the 600 block of SW 148th Street (map below).

Officers from SeaTac, Burien Police Departments and the King County Sheriff’s Office responded, and coordinated their efforts.

The suspect was arrested without force being used.

He admitted to firing his gun to “send a message” to his neighbor and told officers that he would “do it again.”

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail on felony charges and detectives assisted the victim in getting an extreme risk protection order.

The firearms were also seized for safekeeping.
