The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is piloting an exciting new flexible tennis program and Buffalo happens to be one of the lucky locations that gets to test it out.
The program is being launched through a new app: USTA Flex.
USTA Flex tennis is simply a flexible way to compete. The app is designed to fit your lifestyle, and allows you to set a time to play that is convenient to you. Play friendly matches whenever they fit your schedule, meet new friends, and challenge yourself to improve your skills.
With tennis courts scattered throughout our region, finding an opponent to play against is now easier than ever.
How it Works
First, you’ll need to register for the program through the USTA Flex mobile app. This will allow you to contact opponents, record scores in the app, and stay updated with your program. The cost to join is $35 per player. Play begins June 19th! At the start of the program, you’ll receive an email and a notification to let you know who your opponents are, from here:
1. You’ll be grouped in a flight (round robin format) with opponents of a similar skill level
2. You’ll play each opponent in your group once
3. You and your opponent can schedule when and where matches are played, for ultimate flexibility
4. Simply complete each match before the end of the program
Ready to Join?
Head to the app store on your mobile device and download the USTA Flex app. Within the app, go to the search tab to find a program near you. Hit pay and join. That’s it! From here you’ll be set up to start playing games in our area. The exclusive Buffalo pilot begins June 19th so be sure to sign up today!
