Buffalo is a great city full of amazing activities to do.

From the architecture to the food, the beaches to Niagara Falls, there is something for everyone and with the arrival of summer, the fun has only just begun and one of the best places to have fun in Buffalo is having a special event this summer that you have to check out.

The Buffalo Zoo Is Among The Longest Serving Zoos in America

Originally founded in 1875, the Buffalo Zoo routinely ranks as the 2nd most seen attraction in Western New York and is only second to Niagara Falls, brining in more than 400,000 visitors every year.

The zoo is incorporated directly into Delaware Park, which was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, and sits on more than 23 acres of land. Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the Buffalo Zoo is also often cited as one of the best zoos in the country

Once again the Buffalo Zoo, the 7th oldest zoo in the US, is hosting Zoomagination, the Festival of Lanterns and Lights.

What Is Zoomagination?

Ranked as the best event in Buffalo in 2022, Zoomagination is back in 2023 and features larger than life floral displays and all sorts of exhibits featuring under sea creatures and world landmarks.

I missed Zoomagination last year when it was in town, so I am looking forward to seeing it this summer.

Zoomagination at the Buffalo Zoo Starts on June 21, 2023 and runs until August 20, 2023. Tickets are available on the Buffalo Zoo website or you can purchase tickets at the gate, however as someone who lives in the Parkside area of Buffalo and gets to see it first had, I would encourage you to buy your tickets in advance because the zoo is often very busy.
