Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills are bringing back a familiar face in defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on a one-year deal, the team announced on Thursday.

NFL reporter Ari Meirov had the original report of the signing, saying his one-year deal was worth $3 million.

Phillips has had two separate stints with the Bills over his eight-year NFL career.

In his first tenure from 2018-19, Phillips registered 9.5 sacks, all coming during his career-best 2019 season in Buffalo. That season also saw him put up 13 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hits, and a forced fumble in 16 games played.

After making a two-year stop with the Arizona Cardinals, Phillips re-signed with the Bills on a one-year deal last offseason. Despite battling through injury for most of the 2022 season, Phillips was able to play 12 games, registering 20 tackles, three tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks.

Since being drafted in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins out of Oklahoma, Phillips has accumulated 21.5 sacks, 166 tackles and three forced fumbles.
