One More Round of Showers Tonight
Well it was looking like most of the heavy rain was done for about an hour ago, but a new line of showers is showing up on the radar northeast of Jackson in Carroll and Henry counties. A few more have popped up in Crockett county as well. So it looks like showers will be sticking around for a little longer tonight. We will have the latest forecast coming up right here.
LHS Football Kicker, Arness “The Toe” Henry Laid to Rest
In the late 1970s he was known to Lexington High School Big Red Tiger football fans as “The Golden Toe” or simply “The Toe.” Archie Arness Henry, 65, passed away recently on June 1st. Henry graduated from LHS in 1976 and won all conference honors as the team’s place kicker, two years in a row. During the 1974-75 season Henry was perfect, never missing an extra point. A search warrant in Lexington led to the arrest and drug charges of two people. Beverly Cole and Robert Holder are each facing drug charges after officers say they found multiple bags of meth, pills and marijuana at a home on Triple D Lane in Lexington, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
