Plein air artists capture the scene at Darnell Farms, in Smokies
It’s not unusual to see people stopping to take pictures at Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or at Darnell Farms in Bryson City, but it’s less common to find them capturing the scene while standing at an easel with a paintbrush in hand, yet last week there was a lot of this happening as participants of the Plein Air Magazine’s 11th annual Plein Air Convention & Expo came to the area.
