Alcohol, speed likely factors in deadly Brush Prairie crash

BRUSH PRAIRIE, Wash. —
The Clark County Sheriff's Office says speed and alcohol were likely factors in a deadly crash near Brush Prairie.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Northeast 172nd Avenue.
Deputies say it appears a motorcyclist was hit by a Volkswagen, which then ran into a power pole.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The motorcyclist was thrown into nearby brush. He died at the scene.
