Theft: Pearl Road

A man reported the catalytic converter stolen from his motor home sometime between April 2 and May 26.

The vehicle was being stored at a facility, and the victim estimated a $3,000 replacement cost. Reports noted that no surveillance camera footage was available and no other vehicles at the facility were tampered with.

There were no suspects at the time of the report.

Fraud: Creekside Boulevard

A resident called police at 12:49 p.m. May 26 to report an online scam.

The victim said he was told by a person online that he had overpaid for firewall protection and instructed him to buy Visa debit cards to cover the balance. The victim said he read the card numbers to the scammer over the phone.

The victim added that he had contacted his bank and credit card companies and that his accounts had been frozen.
