The City of Brownwood announced Thursday that Lt. James Kidd of the Brownwood Police Department has accepted the Chief of Police position for the City of Keene, Texas, a suburb of south Fort Worth.  Chief Kidd will begin his new position this coming Monday, March 27.

During his 21 years of service to Brownwood, Kidd served in various ranks and functions including Operations Lieutenant where he supervised both the Criminal Investigative and Patrol Divisions.

“I am grateful for the amazing relationships that I have within the community including my co-workers, family and friends,” Kidd said.
