Brazos Beck throws 10 strikeouts in New Home’s area championship over Gruver
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The New Home Leopards defeated the Gruver Greyhounds by scores of 10-6 and 7-1 in Friday’s 2A Area Championship series. In game one, New Home scored in five straight innings after a scoreless first. The Leopards were led by Ryder Starkey, Graham Stanford and Cooper Brown, who each had two RBIs. Hunter Burrell, Ryder Watkins and Dylan Carrillo each had an RBI, as well. All nine starting Leopards recorded at least one hit.

‘Low water pressure’ results in boil water notice for Wolfforth
WOLFFORTH, Texas — The City of Wolfforth posted a boil water notice on social media on Monday and credited it to “low water pressure.”. “The Boil Water Notice is a precautionary measure and does not necessarily mean the water is unsafe to drink. It means that the pressure in the system dropped below minimum requirements, which triggers the Boil Water Notice,” the post said.

This is a collaborative project that includes: Levelland Middle School Students, Levelland High School Students, South Plains College History Majors, Community members from Levelland and Hockley County, Humanities Texas and The Hockley County Historical Commission. Frenship High School hosts ‘Heart of Frenship’ prom
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Frenship High School hosted its ‘Heart of Frenship” prom for students in the special education program on Friday. This is the sixth year the prom has been hosted. The department says it’s made possible by volunteers and donations. Frenship cheerleaders and other students helped with hair and makeup before the prom started. Dresses, suits and ties for the students were donated by members of the community.
