NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A motorist punched a pedestrian in the face and then ran over him during a dispute in Williamsburg last week, police said Thursday.

The NYPD released an image showing the white Toyota RAV4 with Florida plates that they’re searching for in connection with the April 24 assault at Leonard and Richardson streets.

The 59-year-old victim was walking at 8:10 a.m. when he and the male driver got into an argument, it’s unclear about what.

During the altercation, the motorist exited the Toyota and punched the victim several times, knocking him to the ground, police said.

He then got back in the Toyota and ran over the victim’s hand as he fled the scene, according to cops.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his face, head and hand. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

A photo from police shows the suspect’s vehicle in the area of Lorimer Street and Meeker Avenue around the time of the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
