According to records submitted by the Internal Affairs Bureau and obtained by attorneys, key evidence places an off-duty cop at a bar prior to a fatal crash in Brooklyn in which he escaped with his own life, according to a New York Daily News report.

Now retired NYPD officer Rohan Shaw is accused of T-boning a Mazda with his white 2019 Nissan GT-R in East Flatbush on Dec. 8, 2019. The crash killed a 23-year-old woman and severely injured the woman’s best friend, Nia Jasmine Reynolds.

A lawsuit filed by Reynolds in Brooklyn federal court claims officers at the scene intentionally botched their probe to spare a brother in blue from being pulled into an investigation.

It states they tested Shaw with an uncalibrated Breathalyzer machine and failed to take a timely blood sample, according to the report.

Additionally, according to the report, he lawyers say newly revealed cellphone GPS data shows the defendant at a bar minutes before, while other evidence indicates his speech was slurred.

On Staten Island, a former Linden, N.J., officer was sentenced to the maximum 8 1/3 to 25 years behind bars for a horrific 2015 crash.

Among those either killed or injured in the crash was another Linden police officer.
