2 women stabbed at Brooklyn NYCHA development; man in custody: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two women were stabbed in their torsos at an NYCHA development in Brooklyn early Tuesday, police said.

Police said a woman in her 20s was stabbed at NYCHA's Farragut Houses near the Manhattan Bridge and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

After her stabbing, the second woman, 49, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.

A 38-year-old man was taken into custody.

The alleged assailant and his victims have not been identified at this time. A motive wasn't immediately clear.
