NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released a photo of a suspect on Friday wanted for violently robbing a teen boy during a meetup to buy a video game console in Brooklyn last week, authorities said.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, a 15-year-old boy met with the suspect inside the lobby of building in the vicinity of Avenue M and Ocean Avenue to sell a PlayStation 5 video game console, officials said.

The suspect handed the teen $550 in counterfeit money, and when the victim realized, he attempted to take the item back, according to the NYPD.

A struggle ensued over the PlayStation 5, and the victim was pushed to the ground. The suspect then fled with the PlayStation 5 in a black sedan eastbound on Ocean Avenue, cops said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black skullcap, gray hoodie, black pants, and a black jacket.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
