1h agoEast Flatbush community leaders and residents gathered on Saturday to unite against violence in Brooklyn.
Members of the violence interruption group Elite Learners gathered near the intersection of Avenue A and Remsen Avenue where police say a 31-year-old man was shot on Wednesday.
The group visited several businesses in the area where they dropped off pamphlets and flyers.
"It is a collective effort…we represent community, we represent the change and we are the people that live in these communities,” said Camara Jackson, the founder and CEO of Elite Learners.
News 12’s Julio Avila joined the group as they shared violence prevention tips.
