NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The boyfriend of an aspiring nurse found beaten to death inside their Brooklyn apartment has been charged with her slaying, police said Thursday.

Michael Hosein, 32, was charged with murder Wednesday for last Friday's brutal killing of Kelly Kwak, 32, who was reportedly found in a massive pool of blood on the living room floor of the Clinton Hill apartment on Gates Avenue near Classon Avenue.

Kwak, who, according to the Daily News, attended Queensborough Community College and aspired to become a nurse, died from multiple blunt force injuries, including repeated blows to her face.

Sources told the outlet that when police knocked on Hosein's apartment door, he answered after some time and admitted to taking a lot of pills.

"I can’t believe … it’s not real," Kwak's mother, Shin Young, told the Daily News Tuesday. "I’m trying to be normal. But time to time I think of her. It's very terrible. She was only 28."

Police responded to the apartment after Kwak’s out-of-state brother called police, fearing for her safety, the sources added.

Hosein, who has no previous arrest record, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull for treatment and evaluation.

The Daily News reported that she was found by police lying in blood on the living room floor of the apartment.

The couple had lived in the Gibb Mansion, a 19th-century residence constructed by the wealthy Lace merchant John Gibb and now owned by IMPACCT Brooklyn, a social service agency that provides affordable housing for the formerly homeless and those with substance abuse issues.

"She put her family before herself," Kwak's cousin Peter Ko told the paper. "She was the first to call if we had a problem or something going on."
